These Terms of Service govern your use of parfocalmedia.ca and any photography, web development, or related services booked through Parfocal Media (“we,” “us,” “our”), based in Ottawa, Ontario. By using this site or booking a service with us, you agree to these terms.

Services

Parfocal Media provides photography services (including but not limited to portrait, event, product, and branding photography) and web development services (including website design, development, and maintenance). Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing for a given project are set out in the individual quote, invoice, or service agreement provided at booking – these terms apply alongside, not instead of, that agreement.

Bookings and payment

Bookings made through this site are processed via WooCommerce and Stripe. Payment terms, deposits, and cancellation/rescheduling policies are as stated at the time of booking. See our Refund and Returns Policy for details on refunds and cancellations.

Intellectual property and photo usage

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Parfocal Media retains copyright over photographs and creative work we produce. Clients receiving digital files or galleries are granted a license for personal or business use as outlined in their service agreement – this does not transfer copyright ownership.

We may use images from client sessions for portfolio, marketing, or promotional purposes unless a client has specifically requested otherwise in writing.

Website content and use

All content on this website – text, images, graphics, and code – is the property of Parfocal Media unless otherwise credited, and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree to use this site lawfully and not to interfere with its normal operation.

Limitation of liability

We make reasonable efforts to keep this site and our services accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free content. To the extent permitted by law, Parfocal Media is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or our services.

Third-party services

Our site relies on third-party services including Stripe (payments), WooCommerce, and Google (analytics, workspace). Your use of those services through our site is also subject to their own terms – see our Privacy Policy for details on how data is shared with them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
